1. Borussia Dortmund (GER) v Paris Saint-Germain (FRA)

This will be an exciting tie with many goals. Dortmund are more equipped now then when they started the tournament but PSG will be too much for Dortmund’s defense.

2. Atlético Madrid (ESP) v Liverpool (ENG)

Having won the tournament last year and currently being first in the premier league by more the 20 points its hard to say anything other than Liverpool winning this draw easily. But the truth is that Liverpool have struggled the most this season in International competitions. In 26 Premier League matches Liverpool hasn’t lost a single game but in only 6 Champions League games Liverpool lost 2-0 against Napoli and tied against them. However Liverpool will win the draw but it will be closer than what people think.

3. Atalanta (ITA) v Valencia (ESP)

Atalanta seemed doomed to pass to the knockout stage having only 1 point after their first four games but somehow they pulled it off. Valencia on the other hand passed in first place in one of the toughest groups of the tournament. So, Valencia will win the first game but, Atalanta’s good luck will carry on to the knockout phase and will win the second game and the draw.

4. Tottenham Hotspur (ENG) v Leipzig (GER)

Tottenham didn’t have to do too much to qualify for the round 16 playing against teams like Olympiacos and Crvena Zvedzda who with all due respect are not in the same level as the other bigger names in the competition. They did face Bayern Munich a couple times and got absolutely destroyed. Now that they have to face another strong german side, tottenham wont have the same story as last year and will not go on to the next round.

5. Chelsea (ENG) v Bayern München (GER)

Bayern Munich have more quality players than Chelsea right now and will be the better side throughout the two legs.

6. Napoli (ITA) v Barcelona (ESP)

Barcelona will go through but, Napoli will make them work for it. Napoli went undefeated against Liverpool on the group stage and are team that is hard to beat.

7. Real Madrid (ESP) v Manchester City (ENG)

Real Madrid currently sit in first in La Liga and Manchester City in second in the Premier League. This has to be the most anticipated match of the round of 16. Manchester City have recently been banned from the Champions League for the next two years and winning the league this season wont be possible, so Manchester City’s main focus is the Champions League. Manchester City have more to lose since Real Madrid can still win the league but, at the end of the day it comes down to which team plays better throughout the two legs. This team is going to be Manchester City, with everything that has happen the Champions League is the most important thing to them and they will out all their eggs in one basket.

8. Lyon (FRA) v Juventus (ITA)

This is the easiest match to predict in the whole round. The winner of the draw will obviously be Lyon. Can I get a Sike in the chat. All jokes aside Juventus is already in another level than Lyon and Lyon are missing two of their star players (Memphis Depay) and (Jeff Reine-Adélaïde) due to injuries. If Lyon were to knock Juventus out of the competition it would be the biggest upset in the competition.
